Prior to submission, authors should familiarize themselves with the specific author guidelines of their target journal within the Science family: Science, Science Advances, Science Immunology, Science Robotics, Science Signaling, and Science Translational Medicine.

Manuscript Transfer Service

The Science family journals offer a Manuscript Transfer Service for authors whose papers are not accepted by the initial journal of submission. The decision to transfer is only considered post-review, and the author’s confirmation is required to initiate the transfer.

The subsequent journal may utilize prior reviews to expedite the process. The transfer includes only documents reviewed by the original journal, and authors can opt for a new review process if preferred. Details of the transfer service will be outlined in the decision letter from the first journal.
