AbstractThe present study was conducted to investigate the differences of anxiety and depression of adolescents in Rajshahi city. Anxiety was measured by administering the Bangla version (Deeba & Begum, 2004) of anxiety Scale and Depression of the same respondents were measured by the Bengali version of (Huq, S.Z, 2000) Depressive Experiences Questionnaire originally developed Blatt et. al. The findings through t-test revealed that there is a significant difference of anxiety and depression between male and female students. The findings also revealed that there is a significant positive correlation (r= 0.822, p<0.01) between anxiety and depression significant. The results have been interpreted in the light of the past studies.
