AbstractChromosomal relationship of Triticale was compared with that of hexaploid and tetraploid wheat on the basis of the distribution of identified chromosomes and the values for total length and arm ratios. Morphological features of seven chromosomes (4,7,11,13,14,15 and 19) of Triticale and T. aestivum and six chromosomes (3,4,5,7,11 and 13) of Triticale and T. durum indicated their involvement in genomic composition. One submedian chromosome of T. aestivum and two chromosomes of T. durum were found to show their structural changes through deletion as median type in the genome of Triticale.
