DOCUMENTATION OF ANGIOSPERMIC FLORA AT NIAMATPUR UPAZILA OF NAOGAON DISTRICT, BANGLADESH

AbstractDocumentation of angiospermic flora at Niamatpur upazila of Naogaon district, Bangladesh were recorded and studied during October, 2021 to September, 2022. A total number of 182 species under 73 families were documented. Analysis of habit shows that herbs, shrubs, climbers and trees are varies according to their environmental and ecological condition. Herbs, shrubs, climbers and trees represent the number 89, 28, 22 and 43, respectively. Asteraceae, Cucurbitaceae, Fabaceae, Solanaceae, Amaranthaceae, Acanthaceae and Euphorbiaceae families are 15, 9, 9, 8, 7, 6, 6 in number. These are dominant family in these areas. Status of occurrence has been recorded for proper conservation management and sustainable utilization of taxa resulting in 59 species is very common, 92 species are common, and 31 species are rare. These plants are planted as well as wild represent 54% and 46%, respectively.
