AbstractA well-known potato cultivar Cardinal (BARI Alu-8) was studied with the application of liquid fertilizer in the research field of the Department of Agronomy and Agricultural Extension, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Five fertilizer treatments viz. T1 = 0%N (Control), T2 = 60% of the recommended dose (50% N as SA (Soil application) + 10 % as FA (Foliar application)) + MG (Magic growth) 3% as FA, T3 = 70% of the recommended dose (50% N as SA + 20% as FA)) + MG 3% as FA, T4 = 80% of the recommended dose (50% N as SA + 30% as FA) + MG 3% as FA, T5 = 100% N SA (Traditional practice) were employed to meet the objectives of the current study. After preparing the land, liquid fertilizer was sprayed three times (25, 40, 55 (DAS) Days after sowing). This study’s findings showed that liquid fertilizer had a significant impact on all of the yield parameters under consideration. Among the yield and yield characters, the highest value of plant height (63.05 cm) at harvesting time, no. of tuber per plant (6.67), weight of tuber per plant (501.1 g), tuber yield (42.26 t/ha), biological yield (52.51 t/ha), harvest index (80.47 %) were observed from T4 treatment and T5. In T1 treatment, the lowest values for all of these developments were determined. As a result, it is possible to conclude that using this technology will lower the amount of urea supplied, resulting in a financial advantage to the country.

were observed from T4 treatment. In the most cases T5
i.e. traditional practice showed the second position value. The lowest values for all of these traits were observed from T1 (control) treatment. For more acceptable output this experiment should be continued for the next. If there is possible way to reach this technique to the farmers, they will be able to face with difficulties like water logging, drought and urea shortage during crop growing season.
