SELFITIS BEHAVIOR IN RELATION TO POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND AGGRESSION: A STUDY ON THE UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS OF RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, BANGLADESH

AbstractThis study aimed to explore the relationship of selfitis behavior with positive mental health and aggression of the undergraduate students. Towards this end, required data were collected from 530 undergraduate students (males=292, females=238) of the university of Rajshahi, Bangladesh by administering translated Bangla version of Selfitis Behavior Scale. Positive Mental Health Scale and Brief Aggression Questionnaire through online Google Form (snowball sampling) due to recurrent COVID-19 pandemic situation. The obtained data were analyzed by Pearson correlation (r) through statistical software, IBM SPSS (version 25). Results showed that selfitis behavior was inversely associated with positive mental health. On the other hand, aggression of the students was found positively associated with the tendencies of selfitis behavior.
