AbstractAn investigation was made to assess the effect of Parthenium leaf-dust on the emergence and seedlings growth of three wheat varieties (BARI-26, BARI-27, BARI-28). The oven-dried Parthenium leaves were put on the soil in pots. The number of seed germination and plant height of wheat were measured at 10, 20 and 30 days intervals. It was observed that seed germination and plant height of subjected wheat varieties were significantly affected by different doses of Parthenium leaf-dust. The inhibitory effects on wheat were positively related to the treatment strengths of Parthenium leaf-dust in soil pots.
