AbstractThe present study attempted to investigate the relationship between subjective well-being and self-esteem of undergraduate students. Self-esteem of 200 undergraduate students was measured by administering the Bangla version (Ilyas, 2003) of Rosenberg’s (1965) Self-esteem Scale. Subjective well-being of the same subjects were also measured by the Bengali version of (Akter, B, 2003) MUNSH scale. Then the subjects were divided into three groups-high, medium and low on the basis of their obtained score on subjective well-being scale and comparison were made among the three groups on subjective well-being by employing a ANOVA and t-test. The results of the study reveal that self-esteem increases with the increase in subjective well-being of the respondents.v
